Hematology and Hemostasis

Hematology is the branch of medicine concerned with the study of the cause, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to blood. It involves treating diseases that affect the production of blood and its components.

Hemostasis provides an extensive range of phenotypic coagulation assays including platelet aggregometry for the definitive diagnosis and laboratory management of patients with suspected and confirmed inherited or acquired bleeding disorders.

Siemens Advia 2120I

Siemens Healthineers’ high-volume hematology analyzer, the ADVIA® 2120i System with Autoslide* streamlines workflow by eliminating the majority of manual steps commonly performed to maximize productivity. It delivers the gold-standard in testing methodology for optimum results while offering the simplicity and flexibility you need for easy integration into lab.

  • Differentiates microcytic anemias with advanced RBC and reticulocyte technology.
  • Automates hematology workflow without the need for large track-based systems, expensive stains, or reflexive testing.
  • Delivers gold-standard flow cytometry peroxidase methodology for optimum results
  • Maximizes the effectiveness of costly platelet transfusions with accurate results the first time—even at very low platelet levels.
  • Unique cytochemical differentiation of myeloid and lymphoid cells, and six-parameter differential supplies additional clinical information.
  • Direct measurements of intracellular hemoglobin provide sensitive and specific RBC morphology for accurate and early detection of disease states.
  • Accurate platelet counts in the clinically significant range (excluding microcytic red cells and cell fragments) minimize the number of manual counts and unnecessary, costly platelet transfusions.
  • Further isolate and identify disease states without additional labor through CSF and CHr testing capabilities.

The XT-2000i combines quantitative and qualitative reticulocyte measurement and so provides the true picture behind anaemia diagnosis and erythropoietic status. It also offers true quantitative IG counting as an option instead of mere flagging, and is very precise for RBC and PLT parameters thanks to hydrodynamic focusing.

  • Fluorescence flow cytometry for high-quality haematology analysis.
  • Gold standard technology for effectively monitoring erythropoietic status with reticulocyte analysis including RET and IRF.
  • Boost your reticulocyte analysis with the optional RET-He parameter.
  • Excellent WBC differential and diagnostic impact with IG count.
  • Cost-efficient reagent consumption.

The XT-1800i haematology analyser uses unique fluorescence flow cytometry (FFC) technology. FFC looks at RNA/DNA content, cell size and inner cell complexity rather than cell size alone. This generates remarkably accurate results and a superb WBC differential. Review rates and turnaround time are reduced due to specific fluorochrome labelling. The XT-1800i offers true quantitative IG counting instead of the flagging delivered by other technologies. And it’s very precise for RBC and PLT parameters thanks to hydrodynamic focusing.

  • Sysmex’s unique fluorescence flow cytometry (FFC) for high quality blood cell analysis.
  • Full 5-part differential WBC analysis with excellent reliability and 80 samples/hour.
  • IG count delivers valuable information with diagnostic significance.
  • Ready-to-use system with minimum maintenance.
  • Proactive user support with SNCS and online quality control.

The Sysmex® CA-1500 System quickly analyzes large quantities of samples with a high-level of accuracy. The compact, fully automated system performs clotting, chromogenic, and immunologic tests. Its advanced technology allows accurate sample identification and multiple dilution analysis (MDA) for detecting inhibitors during factor assays.

  • Accurate sample identification with bar-code reading at the time of aspiration.
  • Comprehensive menu of clotting, chromogenic, and immunologic tests, including routine tests and the most commonly ordered specialty tests.
  • A rapid turnaround environment—automated D-dimer results within 7 minutes.
  • Simultaneous calibration and routine analysis.
  • Bar-code reader accurately identifies STAT patient samples and reagents.

Siemens Sysmex CA-560

The Sysmex® CA-560 System is a compact, fully automated system featuring immunologic, coagulation, and chromogenic measurements in true random-access.

The Sysmex CA-560 System allows the small-volume lab, running up to 50 samples per hour, the convenience of performing all of its coagulation assays on one analyzer.

  • Automatic instrument for the determination of the ESR on 30 samples simultaneously. The ESR reading at the first hour is performed in 26 minutes or in 10 minutes (fast method) including the mixing of samples.
  • Automated system for the direct determination of ESR in 30 samples simultaneously.
  • Results obtained after only 20 minutes of sedimentation.
  • It is an excellent system for the ESR in lipemic and bilirubinemic samples.
